In 2020, a team of Social Mission Alliance (then Beyond Flexner Alliance) interns formed a Student Assembly – a student centered arm of our organization focused on bringing together interdisciplinary health profession students passionate about social mission. Launching in the fall of 2020, the Student Assembly serves as a resource to bring students together to promote social mission, network, and organize around health equity.

Our Student Assembly is a coalition of health professional students interested in using their talents to advance health justice and social mission who regularly convene for meetings via Zoom. The Social Mission Alliance looks to support these students grow their passion for health justice and social mission by sharing webinars, fellowships, internships, conferences and networking opportunities via email and social media.
In an effort to promote health equity and inter-professional education, the Student Assembly seeks to collaborate with other organizations and groups. We are always open to partnerships, activities, and events in the future. Please feel free to reach out with any collaboration or promotion ideas.
