Dr. Wayne Cottam is the Founding Dean and Associate Professor at Rocky Vista University College of Dental Medicine, and past Vice Dean for the A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH). In his role as Vice Dean at ATSU, he oversaw external clinical rotations and community partnerships for the school as well as participating in the senior administrative team. He developed an extensive external rotation program, partnering with over 70 community and safety net clinics for ASDOH 4th year clinical rotations. Dr. Cottam has taught Head and Neck Anatomy since coming to ASDOH and has received several outstanding faculty awards. Prior to coming to ASDOH, Dr. Cottam was the Dental Director with Community Health Centers in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Cottam graduated from the University of Utah in 1990 and attended dental school at the Oregon Health Sciences University, graduating with honors in 1993. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the University of Utah Hospital. In 1998 he received a Master’s Degree in Anatomy from the University of Utah Medical School. Dr. Cottam and his wife Marie have three daughters and one son.​
