Sascha Murillo, MD is a primary care physician at Boston Medical Center and assistant professor of medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Sascha graduated from Yale School of Medicine in 2020 and from the Internal Medicine Residency Primary Care Program at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2023. Prior to a career in medicine she worked in health equity policy advocacy and community organizing in Washington, DC and then New York City, working on issues ranging from language and immigrant access in health care to protecting safety-net programs and institutions. As a medical student she advocated for integrating health justice curricula into health professions training. As a medical resident, she was a lead organizer in the successful effort to unionize housestaff at Mass General Brigham. Now, as a clinician she practices primary care with a focus on women’s and reproductive health care. She is also an educator, and her interests include integrating health justice and advocacy training in medical education.
