Nadia Bey
Student Research Specialist
Nadia Bey (she/her) is a MPH candidate in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Milken Institute School of Public Health. She joined the SMA in summer 2023 as part of the team developing a repository of resources for health professions schools to implement the social mission. Before GW, Nadia received a bachelor’s degree in biology and global health at Duke University, where she earned Distinction in Global Health and was named a University Scholar and a Margolis Scholar in Health Policy and Management. She was also on the executive board of Duke’s Student Collaborative on Health Policy. Her previous research experience includes compiling data on social determinants of health in central North Carolina, examining access to care for North Carolina farmworkers, applying lessons from the 2010 H1N1 pandemic to COVID-19, and reviewing the delivery of health information in prescription drug ads
