Brian Park
Advocacy Advisory Council Member
Brian Park is an Associate Professor at the Oregon Health & Science University’s (OHSU) Department of Family Medicine and School of Public Health. The child of immigrants and a failed filmmaker, Brian is guided by a vision of a health system rooted in healing, justice, and love. He is the inaugural medical director of OHSU’s Health Equity Organization, co-creating academic–community partnerships that catalyze community-powered change. He also founded the RELATE Lab, whose Relational Leadership Institute trains healthcare professionals in human-centered, collectivist leadership, and whose HEAL program integrates community organizing into health systems. HEAL has guided community-led policies advancing affordable housing, language access, and the health of justice-involved communities. Outside of work, Brian loves being outdoors with his partner Alison and child Haneul, writing about movies and music, and cooking for friends.
