Theresa Horvath practiced as a physician assistant in family medicine for 15 years before becoming a physician assistant educator in 1998. Ms. Horvath has been program director of five programs in New York and Connecticut. She is currently working on a study of unconscious racial bias in physician assistant admissions processes. She has represented the physician assistant profession to US Health Resource Service Administration (HRSA) and National Health Service Corps (NHSC) from 2007-2014. Ms. Horvath also served on the Board of Directors of the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) from 2011-2012. Since 2002, she has been a site visitor for the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA). She is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
