Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) serves a predominantly Hispanic population. The school partnered with Capital High School, which is also predominantly Hispanic and low-income, to establish a pathway for high school students to become Licensed Practical Nurses and later earn an associate’s degree in nursing. The LPN program has a 100% pass rate. SFCC also has a pathway program with the University of New Mexico for students to obtain a bachelor’s in nursing. Students have access to an on-campus food bank and faculty and staff make themselves available to support students, according to a case study.
